Campaign for healthier lifestyles

Safefood, the HSE and Healthy Ireland are promoting the latest phase of START, a five-year public awareness campaign about healthier lifestyles. Their research shows that families with children spent almost 20% of their weekly food shopping budget on ‘treat’ foods like crisps, chocolates and sweets in 2017, compared with only 17% spent on fruit and vegetables.
