The Commission for the Regulation of Utilities has announced measures to protect gas and electricity customers this winter.

The minimum wage will increase to €11.30 per hour for workers aged 20 and over from 1 January 2023.

All women aged between 17-25 living in Ireland are now eligible for free contraception and associated services such as GP visits.

From 1 October 2022, the maximum income limit for local authority housing for a single person will increase from €25,000 to €30,000 in Carlow, Clare, Laois, Westmeath and Galway county.
